If Mariah Carey’s 16th album title is any indication, her legions of fans will be screaming said title all fall long.
Carey, the Long Island-born songbird with more accolades than any of us can count, announced this week that Here For It All is available for pre-order and will officially be released Friday Sept. 26. This will be Carey’s debut album with the new Gamma media property co-founded by former Apple exec Larry Jackson.
Carey will be reunited with veteran producer Antonio “L.A.” Reid as executive producer for the first time since 2009’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. Here For It All will be her first studio effort since Caution back in 2018.
The lead single is “Type Dangerous,” which has reached the top 25 on Billboard’s Hot Hip-Hop/R&B songs (24) and US Adult Pop Airplay (22) charts. The song samples the hip-hop classic “Eric B. is president” by Eric B. and Rakim and the video features YouTube sensation Mr. Beast. Carey co-produced the song with NWi and Daniel Moore.
