Earth, Wind & Fire has an important place in American music history as one of the best bands to ever exist.
More than 50 years after their start, a documentary showcasing their greatness will debut June 7.
“Earth, Wind & Fire: To Be Celestial vs. That’s The Weight Of The World,” produced by Roots drummer and music historian Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, will stream on HBO Max starting Monday June 7.
A trailer was released Thursday May 21, featuring clips of live performances, words from band members and fans.
The trailer includes the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, multi-hyphenate musician H.E.R., legendary producer Jimmy Jam and more.
Also featured in the documentary are band members Verdine White, co-lead vocalist Philip Bailey and Ralph Johnson, who still tour today.
